Global Infrastructure Basel (GIB) visits Baguio City
Last April 28 to May 4, Kelly Donovan and Andrea Betancourt from GIB visited Baguio City to engage with the Cordilleran Youth Center (CYC) and the youth of Baguio regarding the Safe and Sound Cities program in the city.Our friends and partners from GIB took part in the celebration of Cordillera Day in Baguio City, highlighting the importance of solidarity and cultural empowerment. An engagement meeting with the youth also took place to tackle urban safety issues in Baguio and the role of the youth in constructing innovations to solve these problems.
An alignment meeting with the Baguio City Planning Development and Sustainability Office also occurred to discuss the synergies of CYC’s projects with the city government’s initiatives. Councilor Levy Orcales (Sangguniang Kabataan Federation Chairman) and the Local Youth Development Office were also present at the meeting.
